Christen was born on May 7th, 1750 and his baptism took place on May 7th, 1750 in Rüderswil.1   Christen's father was Christen Wälti and his mother was Elsbeth Wälti.  His paternal grandparents were Christen Wälti and Anna Wälti; his maternal grandparents are Hans Wälti and Barbara Burkhalter. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Jakob, Jacob, Hans, Christen, Anna and Elisabeth.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at 10 months old on March 28th, 1751.  His burial was on March 28th, 1751 in Rüderswil.2 2
