Christen Wälti

Christen was born on April 22nd, 1820 and his baptism took place on May 7th, 1820 in Rüderswil.¹ Christen's father is Christen Wälti and his mother is Cathrina Schneider. His paternal grandparents were Christen Wälti and Cathrina Aeschbacher; his maternal grandparents are Johann Schneider and Barbara Schertenleib. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Hans Rudolf (Johann), Gottlieb, Ulrich, Friedrich, VNU ungetauft, Anna Elisabeth and Maria. He is the oldest of the eight children.
