Niklaus Wälti

Niklaus was born on September 17th, 1859 and his baptism took place in Kappelen.¹ Niklaus' father was Peter Wälti and his mother was Magdalena Michel. His paternal grandparents were Michael Wälti and Verena Schafroth. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Hans (Johannes), Friedrich, Magdalena, Elisabeth, Anna Maria and Anna. He is the fifth oldest of the seven children.
