Jakob was born on January 9th, 1842.1   Jakob's father was Johannes Halter and his mother was Barbara Zingg.  His paternal grandparents are Johannes Halter and Elsbeth Ziegler.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 85 on July 12th, 1927.1
